Hi Guys

I have been referred here by my friend to seek advise. My citizenship interview was scheduled on 28th April (After 4 days) in Holtsville NY and today i received a letter from USCIS stating that it has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. They will let me know my new date.

The status on the website is still the same as "On March 19, 2015, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

It does not mention any change or cancellation and i am confused on what to do next...

Any suggestions........................... PLEASE !!

Nothing to do but wait for new interview letter. Many reasons for this: your background check hasn't been cleared, they haven't received your complete file, backlogged works... Be patient, many people got this hassle.

I think you shouldn't panic. AS NancyN said it could be any reason. Also, the officer might be on leave, and they cancelled all his/her interview for that day.

If you want to know the reason you can go for info pass.
