Fingerprinting Problem - Pls help if you were successful

First time posting here -- I'm having problems with finger printing. The first time I went in, I don't think the machine found any of my prints acceptable (or maybe it found 1 out of 10 to be ok). The lady doing the finger printing was totally unhelpful -- she wasn't even rolling the fingers, she was having me do it while lecturing me and saying when she looks at her fingers she sees a whorl, when she looks at mine, all she sees are lines. (How nice for her.) I had to beg her to try a second time, she did and the results were the same and she basically said "I have to submit these, that's the rule -- you'll come back if they tell you to." She wasn't one of the ones who has the view of -- we'll do it until the computer accepts it.

So -- what do I do to make the next one successful?

Here's the deal -- I probably haven't used lotion in 3+ months so that's my fault, and I wash my hands a LOT and use hand sanitizer a lot. This only happened 2 days ago -- I came home and started putting on Aveeno's overnight cream on my finger tips and used coconut oil once a day on the tips bc those are all I had at home. I'm not using hand sanitizer at all and am trying to limit hand washing, and every time I do wash -- I put lotion on again. I couldn't find Corn Huskers lotion, so I ordered it on Amazon for $5 and it arrived this afternoon. I've put that on 1-2x already.

Thing is when I look at my fingers now after 2.5 days of moisture -- I can still see fine lines horizontal and vertical on every finger. When I look more closely (like with the light from an I phone) -- I can see the finger print whorl there, but obviously the machine is picking up all the lines instead. Stupid question -- but those of you with successful prints, do you all have NO fine lines on your finger tips and just have visible prints? Or are fine lines ok if they're moisturized? I don't have cracks/bleeding or anything -- just lines EVERYWHERE.

I'm likely going to have to go back within a week and bc it's a small office -- I'll have to deal with the same unhelpful lady again. I'm trying to do everything I can to pass and I don't have much time. Please help if you have ideas.

You can't go back without a second biometrics appointment. If you fail this time, you will have to get police clearance at every where you lived before. Sorry but you will be fine. Good luck.

I'm not sure if the lotion/coconut oil will help, but you definitely need to wash your hands as little as possible. My friends work in the healthcare industry and have had problems with obtaining fingertips due to hand-washing several times a day.

My fingerprints can never be read. For my first GC I had to go twice. If the first set don't take, they will send you a letter with another appointment. After my second set, I didn't hear anything for 6 months (when they picked my file up again), then they called me and told me my second set could not be read. They asked me to bring in a police clearance letter, from where I've been living and I also had to swear an oath, that I hadn't been in trouble. This time I'm planning on taking the letter with me the second time and making an appointment there and then to take an oath. Hopefully it will save another 4 hour round trip!

Don't worry about it, I was told 1 in every 10 women have fingerprints that cannot be read. It was not a problem for me last time. :)
