We had an RFE which pushed my fiance' passed the 4 week mark. The IOM says she and her boys now need to come in for the 2nd dose of 1 or 2 vaccines. They are wanting her to pay over $400 again (after paying $1,100 four weeks ago). Does this sound right?

No way! Someone's lying to you. Your fiance said she paid 1100 dollars for vaccines 4 week ago? And now she needs 400 more for more shots. Someone is getting robbed here and I think it's you. Sorry but I have a feeling you're being scammed. Hope not. Have you seen these documents from the US Government or are you simply being told this information. Something is fishy here. Good luck.

It is from the IOM in Nairobi. That doesn't seem right. If they had traveled before the 4 weeks they wouldn't have even got the 2nd dose in Kenya!!

Extremely unlikely !!!!

Call IOM and ask how much the entire medical is for her and the children. How many kids ?

She had her interview and is in AP correct ? No medical facility will call the beneficiary for a second round of shots during AP !

Something is very wrong with that picture.

Not sure what you mean by an RFE "pushed her passed the 4 week mark."

Either your fiance is wanting extra cash to spend or someone at the clinic is playing games.

Best investigate, this is very suspicious and it looks like you are being taken for a bumpy ride. Watch out !

Spoiler

Hi CeeMu,

Can you explain what you mean by clears within 14 days?

Thanks,

Kevin

For instance if i go to the CID headquarters to get my finger prints taken on 1st April, you collect the police certificate on the 14th April.. 14days, normally written on the receipt and it costs kenya shillings 1,000 only...that is $12. I had mine in January.
