That's a big relief if so, then why do they have it on their letter of what to bring?

Also do you see any problems on me taking my wife to her medical on May 11th as I wont have the embassy appointment yet?

I already have the CFO appointment made, it would be nice to get this all done while I'm in town for a visit.

My $0.02 and I'm no lawyer...... What nickname? Why would it ever need to come up in discussion?. Who's to know? I seriously doubt if a question at interview would be "Do you have any nicknames"? I thought most questions would be about how well she know you, her asawa. Not about if she has any nicknames. I learned in many years in the military and later in business when asked a question in an interview situation answer the question truthfully in as few words as possible then close your mouth and wait for the next question. Your wife (and mine, eventually) should not try to become friends with the CO and start up a conversation or dialog.

My approach is if the CO wants more information about a specific topic, ask a different question or rephrase the original to elicit the response he's looking for. May seen a little brusque or curt but the responder is doing nothing wrong by just answering the question and adding no addition information.

I really believe you're reading too much into the requirements requested.

Did you get case complete from NVC yet?

There is no issue with completing the medical early, but do remember the 6 month visa validity starts on the date of the medical, if you have plans to delay traveling to the USA be aware of the validity date on the visa.

I agree with Brassballs.

Further, It's been said many different ways but always with the same intention. Let sleeping dogs lay. In other words, don't bring something up that is not necessary. Go to the interview, look the CO in the eyes while smiling and give truthful answer to his/her questions. Don't add additional information to the conversation that has not be asked.

I agree if a nickname was not used on any legal documents and was just a name used by close friends and family... it is not something to bring up. If I call my asawa "Honey" all the time that IS a nickname, but would I list it as an AKA? No.

They would know as it's one of the questions on the DS260 and G325. The names will also be listed on her NBI. I agree it's best to just go with the flow and keep your responses simple. I think chances are we will be ok, I'm just a little worried as I think we all want to get this long process over with as soon as possible.

The official instructions state you need the interview letter, but others on Visa Journey are saying they will let you in with a NVC document with your case number. I saw recently a person got in no problem without this interview appoint letter. Worse case she will come back before her interview. I figured I'm there anyway and if they let us it would be one less thing she has to do. I already have the CFO appointment.

Same to you as we have had similar timelines until recently.

Unfortunately my wife lived in three countries as this made it more difficult and caused the case to stretch a little longer.
