I've read of a handful members who posted seeing a change on the uscis page after approval. I'm yet to see an example.

However, the NOA2 hard copy says your case has been forwarded to nvc.

That is what it looks like for all cases that are transferred to NVC. In terms of us, it was updated that it was transferred to NVC 10 days after the notification of approval by email. It then took about 10 days for it to be received by NVC since it was coming from the Nebraska Service Center. Since our case was an IR-5 (Parent of a US Citizen) it took them another month to issue a case number. However, I hear they are faster with assigning case number for K-1 petitions.

Well, USCIS isn't really part of the picture after it leaves the service center, so there shouldn't be an update after the one I posted. Granted, this is K-1 I am speaking of and may be different for others. Once it leaves USCIS it's tracked with the CEAC tracker.. I don't think there's anything in the middle of that to determine where the petition is in transit.

The comment I replied to mentioned they hadn't seen an example after approval. I may be taking that literally, but the only "approval" is NOA2 and Visa interview approval.. if they were looking for a different example I didn't see that request anywhere. I may have misread it though as I said.

The month time frame is pretty typical. Not all K-1's have a case number assigned as fast as we did. Many people wait 5-8 weeks on a K-1 to have it arrive and be assigned at the NVC.

Called NVC today and it hasn't been received yet. Was told to wait 35 days. BAH!

Though our case arrived at NVC last week, we still see the approval message more than a month after NOA2; not been updated since.

It's possibly different handling due to K1 vs IR\CR1 visa types.

Had not seen that particular message before. Not that it matters much anyways, since our case has arrived at NVC.. now on the next set of steps.

Does the petitioner get a letter for the NVC case number? I see more information for spousal visas on the NVC step than I do for fiances. Perhaps that means we don't sit and visit with the NVC as long as the spouses do...

I don't think NVC really mails anything (could be wrong).. the fiancé just needs to fill out DS 160 and get the case number... from there we just track it until it gets to the embassy

From what I can tell there is Howeetest D who was approved March 6th and Toddandcamilla who was approved April 1st, that are at CSC waiting for shipment. Mine was approved April 7th.

I wonder how often CSC sends their petitions to NVC?

See to me (only thinking logically and not taking ANYTHING into account), your case should be there around Friday to this time next week. However, with the way things are going you just can't be sure. It's really strange how they select which petitions to send. Obviously apart from having a Filipino benificiary, it seems like they just randomly pick petitions to send.

Lol! My guess was the same as yours!

If I don't get an update notification from USCIS by the 24th, I suppose I will begin my calling campaign...
