Good Day, got CC last March 30.. I have a few questions (I am from the Phililppines, interview will be at the USEM):

1. When do we find out about my interview date? Normally how many days after CC?

2. It says that there's an instruction sheet that needs to be shown for the medical appointment, do I receive it or my USC husband? Can it be just scanned or original?

3. What should I bring at the actual interview? Do I need to bring original AOS forms? Like the I864? Or can they be scanned/copies since the embassy will be having the originals from the NVC?

Thank you in advance, just getting nervous as I wasn't expecting a CC so soon, so I was kind of being relaxed about these things.

I'd take a look at (and get yourself added to) the case complete to interview spreadsheet to get an idea to when you can expect to get your interview appointment letter: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?key=0AtbvTEwLyHz1dEhlZjdKczRMRmJrSnc5MTk1SkVrYVE&usp=sharing

Not sure about the Philippines, but I (USC) received my husbands appt letter and also got a hard copy in the mail, but you should be able to scan the email to your husband regardless.

11/11: Husband got deported
1/11/14: Got married
3/13/14-11/2/14:

1/26/15-3/17/15: NVC

5/28/15: INTERVIEW - denied

NVC will contact you with the interview date.

For the medical follow the requirements listed on the SLEC website: http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#required-docs

As for what is needed for the interview, follow the embassy instructions letter: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/feb2015/IV%20Applicant%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_February%202015_.pdf

STEP 4: Immigrant visa applicants must bring ALL ORIGINAL civil documents at the time of the visa interview. Your application will be refused if you fail to bring any of the following required documents. Required documents must be presented in the following order for each applicant. Please tick the boxes on the left side, to be sure that you have collected all the necessary documents for the interview.

Hmm it said on the link that Greenbaum post that

9. I-864 Affidavit of Support Form along with past 3 year U.S tax returns (or transcripts) and any other financial documents required.

That is my question exactly because were organizing papers that will be sent out for AOS / IV if we should make 2 copies of everything so i tried to ask NVC and USem here in manila they both said that i dont need to bring it because all forms that will be sent to NVC is going to be in the USem too, unless theres some changes on the documents?

Ty for that, it actually makes more sense if we only need it if an updated form is requested.. I might just do that and wait for the emails from NVC then.. Ty :)

There in lies the problem with the accuracy of the VJ's guides. They are sometimes outdated and not changed. Sorry for the confusion. Your getting some good answers here. Keep asking your questions.

What you send to NVC has no relationship to what you bring to USEM for the interview, two separate processes, two separate sets of requirements. Link above to the embassy instructions letter for the immigrant visa is what you should follow for the embassy process.

copy that sir. I have informed my husband and my sister (co-sponsor/joint sponsor) that I have to submit a new set of AOS forms, however there is now and update to my sister's status and I don't know what to ask from her...

her last ITR which is 2013 indicated that she was filing as MFS but now for 2014 her and her wife has decided to file MFJ.. it was something I promised her, not to involve my sister-in-law with the AOS.. will the CO ask for an I864a from the wife?

no, only my sister is the joint sponsor and she still has an income well over the poverty guidelines for a household of 3 (including me).

if there's no need to have her wife sign, my sister needs to send me her W-2's? or 1099?

how will she now fill up her total income for 2014 (part 13 on the AOS form) if it was filed jointly?
