I have not followed the man, the only crime I remember him being accused of directly was tax evasion which he denied.. NPR did some blurb a while back that he may have been an informant for the FBI. As far as activists go I find him considerably better than Jessie Jackson.

The problem with accusations against people like this (and we can all recall similar things happening to Bush and Obama) is that they have detractors that dig into every aspect of their lives and amplify and extrapolate anything they find to the Nth degree. As a member of John Q. Public it takes some extraordinary evidence from very reliable sources for me to take any thing said about them seriously.

Why are the tax issues of a high profile individual of more interest than the tax avoidance of corporations which costs the taxpayer significantly more?

you'd think that the folks who are so against unfair or disproportionate federal taxes would be the most irate about the corporations that find ways around their civic duty. but no, lets all get irate over ####### single parents who qualify for eic and the TRULY RICH and elite..like sharpton. LOL.
