Yeah...Just don't stop calling them and just give it a shot every day when u get time....they will tell u if ur case is received or not......

So now i will call next week to get my case number and IIN....Hopefully by next friday they create my case .....

One more thing...once u know ur case number and IIN give them ur email address even though u submitted form G1145 with ur I-130 for email notification.....And the beneficiary's email too....its just to get things done pretty fast...Good luck....

Okay thanks for the information and I will give them a call when I get home from work today. Good luck to you with your journey. @Mufan keep on hanging up and try again as that is what I did to get through to the CSR.

Thank you for the response my MD neighbor :)

I have had some time to digest what you wrote and first of all thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. It means a lot. I've been thinking about what to do for a long time. Fact is, I can't postpone my Dubai trip. - I will be leaving on the 30th of April.

Also my company has recently transitioned over to a new system for employment verification. They don't provide letters anymore and they have a system where any one can call in for verification - it's supposedly a system tied in directly with immigration. So getting a letter is out of the question for the time being. However, my last paystub will most likely come in around May 8th and I should be able to submit paystub(s) until that point in time.

That being the case though, I still haven't heard from NVC or received a case number as of yet. I do have a few questions though:

1) Can I submit only paystub without the employment verification letter (along with tax info etc) and get away with it?

2) Can I submit an employment letter with a future start date (July1) to prove income and employment

3) If (1) is possible, can I submit all my documentation to the NVC ahead of receiving a case number?

4) If (3) is not possible, then once I receive the case number, Can I submit all my information, tax, paystub related info ahead of time before accessing DS-260 and AOS fees?

I'm just operating under this assumption that if I have access to the case number and just submit a package to them, then at least they are in receipt of it. I also remember reading somewhere that, determination is not made at the NVC level on whether the information is correct. They only check for case completeness and that final determination is made at the embassy level.

I have to make my move accordingly in order to make the best of my situation at this time. In the mean time I am also looking at other forms of employment whereby I can maintain a US income and hopefully all this will be an issue of the past.

@Habel: No luck yet. I try calling at all different hours both morning and evening and it's really tough to get through. I thought now that the VB is out it would have eased up but nothing yet. I'll keep trying though. I'm coming up on that 3 week mark soon since approval. Also my wife left for the UK last night. It was very sad and upsetting. I hope this journey comes to a close for all of us really soon. It is the hardest thing having to deal with and I hope we can all feel that sigh of relief soon!

Munafn - your questions are very important and require the guidance of someone who is very experienced with this process. I have seen peoples' cases get destroyed/delayed because of what looks like minor omissions/additions. So, with that understanding, I tread carefully! (I am happy to be your sounding board but if I were you I would also ask an experienced attorney.)

1) the requirement is to show your current income....the pay stub does that and the employment letter confirms the paystub - but from what I have read the letter of employment is optional. So it stands to reason that you don't have to include it....but i dont know enough to say definitively that leaving out the employment letter will not cause you to get a checklist.

2) I dont know if you can (well....yes, you can, but the question is will it cause any harm to your case).....I tend to think it may harm your case and I would probably leave it out but bring it to the interview in case you need it if there are questions. I am sure there are many people who submit employment info and then get fired or resign after they have case complete.

3) No. you need the case number and the invoice number in order to be able to pay the fees.....paying the fees is what generates the cover sheet which is what you need to submit your docs to NVC.

4) see answer to 3.

so the real question for you is NO employment letter vs Post-dated employment letter......which one (or both) will get you to case complete

I'm being very careful in what I say because NVC is an important stage and I truly don't want to give you the wrong info.

By the way, have you looked into declaring assets instead of employment income?

Thanks again for the detailed response. I am actually in the process of submitting my thoughts to my attorney. Believe it or not, I value opinions from this forum more than what my attorney says. It's definitely more personal and less bureaucratic. I do appreciate your thoughts though. I definitely don't want a checklist. I didn't even know about the option to use assets as income. I'll do a search but do you have any validated literature for me to read?

Hey Guys! M so happy to see you again!

I got approved April 16th 2015 and my Pd is Jan 14 2014 ^^

Congrats! great to see you here!

@ahmed - not much to do at the moment - I would start calling NVC after about 10-12 days every day and check to see if they received your case.

Once the case has been received, you have to wait for them to assign a case number which can take another 2-3 weeks (they say 4 but it will probably be done quicker)

those are the immediate next steps. We can continue discussing once we reach that stage.
