Hi everyone

Recently I got my CR-1 visa. So I have to pay $165 through USCIS-ELIS. For that I create a new account on USCIS-ELIS. When I am going to pay Immmigrant fee they want A# (Alien Number) and DOS (Department of State) case ID which I got from my summery sheet. But A# and Case ID not working. They are saying it incorrect A and Case ID.What should I do? I also entered A number witht 0 zero. e.g A12345678 I entered A012345678

Please advice me

Azim - this may not apply in your case (http://www.uscis.gov/uscis-elis)

nh.hasan: is there a reason for you to out that "0" for a white space? I am not sure about the ELIS account but based on what I've seen, you may not need that zero if you have 9 digit number. Also you may try with or with out the A. If you got your application recently approved, you may want to give few days for the system to get updates? Finally you can always call the USCIS helpline.

ELIS is the portal USCIS website that allows you to pay the $165 immigrant fee online for producing a green card and shipping it to your US home address after your visa is issued. Everyone who is on IR-1/CR-1 visa will have to pay for immigrant fee.

If you don't pay the fee, you won't get plastic card (green card). If you don't land at any POE in the US, green card won't be produced until POE officer verifies your visa on the system/processes you in secondary inspection AND payment fee is paid.

I see you are on path to get IR-1/CR-1 visa. After your visa is issued, you will pay immigrant fees. Hope this helps.

Other people have trouble with entering their A number and DOS case number. It might be an error on system. It will be fixed soon. Fees can be paid after landing in the US.
