APPROVED!!!

Ok...first... :dancing::dancing::dancing: Approval given!!! The interviewer said everything was good and visa should be there Wednesday "pending everthing was ok with the medical" (we had called Knightsbridge and they stated that the results were sent January 5th and that if there were any issues, they'd call). So looks good to go.:dancing::dancing::dancing:

Now, my wife was approved and everything, but all she received was her X-ray. Is she also supposed to recieve that "magic sealed envelope" at the interview today or is that mailed out with the visa in the passport? Or do you even get one for London?

This question nags at me.

Thanks!!! Hope fiance's yours goes well too!!!! Here's to praying!

Now, I also found out from the wife that her X-ray envelope is falling apart (probably been sitting in the embassy for some time). So not only is the X-ray envelope falling apart from a seam, the tape used to close it broke open!! So my wife will find out if that needs to be re-sealed too.

ALRIGHT!!! CONGRATS!!!! 2/2 so far...think there is at least one more. I am inquiring about the X-ray seal. To be on the safe side, I'd just keep it with me when coming over...they are already folded in half most of the time and would only take up a little room on the side of most carry-ons. My wife did find out that the visa paper sealed envelope o'magic is supposed to come with the passport.

I don't think I ever heard of anyone actually being asked for the x-ray, and it is definitely okay to pack in in checked luggage, USCIS sent me a letter with my visa saying just that. No problem whatsoever about the x-ray not being sealed, mine was given to me in an unsealed envelope to begin with.

The sealed envelope will come with your passport and visa. This one *does* need to be kept sealed!

Oh, also: Congratulations!

The yellow envelope comes with the visa.

The x-ray can go in your checked baggage. There has been alot of talk over whether it goes in hand baggage or not...but the thing to remember is, nobody at the POE is medically qualified to interpret the x-ray anyway. Your medical report (and the x-ray results) are in the yellow envelope.

I can't recall anybody being asked to show it to a POE officer. Especially from the UK.

Heishe ~ Congrats on the interview.

We got approved. :D

Yay!

Apparently the officer told him he can check the x-ray in his luggage when he flies here. Do you think that's true?

Congrats guys!!!

Heishe, Pete (pjc) was wondering what went on this morning with you guys! Yay!! Pete got his Visa delivered Saturday so we can go whereever we want now and not have to wait.....well except that the airline didn't transfer my bag from Vancouver and I am waiting for them to deliver that! Had to go to Tescos for a toothbrush and clean knickers. lol! You know the essentials! Enjoying being in England again with my love. :D

btw, for anyone who is ever curious about Passport controls reactions to saying the word boyfriend or fiance. I said I was visiting my fiance and they just want to see my return ticket and asked where I worked and then asked again that I was sure I would return in the two weeks which i said yes. Of course the lady was pretty nice though. I just put on a big relaxed smile and usually have no problem. :)

Apparently the only problem with Pigu's interview was that they started filling in the forms for some woman with the same last name. He pointed out it was the wrong person and they got his proper forms. I'll be sure to have him write up a review. They asked him some basic questions about me that he seems to have answered correctly. I told him to look for ms514's wife, but she was probably in and out before he got there. He says there was a huge crowd, and they all had to wait in the rain.

Anyway, I'm so freakin proud of him for passing his interview and like WOW OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG etc, I'm sure you all understand. I MEAN HOLY SHIOT!~!!!!!!JAEFLKJ 2kj!!Jgkljl I can't believe we made it to this point. I wanna run around screaming or something, except I also kinda forgot to sleep last night so maybe just run screaming to the coffee pot. I am a happy happy girl.
