Visa Interview Date - Riyadh Embassy (K1)

My fiancee and I finished collecting all the required documents for her K-1 application. we've mailed it to the Riyadh Embassy. It was delivered on 3/23 via Aramex to the Riyadh dropbox.

I know that there is something going on in KSA because US embassies have been closed for 5 days straight from March 15-22 I believe so I am expecting delays as all those appointments will have to be re-scheduled.

QUESTION: Has anyone here gone thru a K-1 or Spousal Petition and know how long typically the Riyadh embassy takes in giving an interview date?

I admit, it's only been a few days and I am impatient.. just don't like waiting really

anyhows, just throwing this hook out there hoping others have walked a similar path

bump anyone else in Riyadh/Saudi Arabia waiting for their interview date? how long have you been waiting?

well, it seems I'm the only one in this journey, as usual, might as well update my own thread and help maybe someone who will follow.. I'll update this thread everytime I email the embassy (every 2 weeks)

Riyadh Embassy: currently on our 8th week waiting for an interview date (K1)

so yeah, another 2 weeks have passed, no interview date

counting: 10 weeks now (2 months + 2 weeks)

sigh.. i wish we could schedule our own interview this waiting around is .. grr

we've been waiting longer now than for our entire time through USCIS (TSC!) and NVC stages..

so i do my usual email every 2 weeks.. but this time..

after 3 months of waiting and non-stop followups

we have been given an interview date!!

YUP!!! I think it would've been longer had I not pestered them..

but hell, we have an interview date!!!!!!! it only took 3 months/12 weeks to get scheduled..

Great to come across your post. I am kinda in a similar situation as you were... I still don't have an interview date, though my case was received by the US embassy in Riyadh JUNE 1st 2015. After a lot of following up they requested I send them the confirmation page of my DS160, 2 passport photos and a copy of a passport biographic page "in order to schedule the interview". I did that on August 11th.

Still no word from them. I also asked if they need me to submit all other documents or bring them to the interview and they said bring them to the interview... though it seems like everyone else submitted them.

I have my Police certification, medical report, and all other requested docs including the deposit slip for payment of the visa.

Any advice on what I could do? and did you take in your documents or submit them - specifically the Medical report.

bring everything with you to the interview..

only send them what they asked for in the K-1 packet: DS-160 confirmation, 2 passport photos, passport copy

Hi i just want to ask if u did wait for the packet 3 before u obtain all the requirements for interview?
