Also? Loving 4/19/07 since my Dh has his birthday that day

Hopefully we can get some more Jordan interviews added and a ton moe of Jordan success stories!

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

here's the gist of how Noors interview went..

got there early as heck in the morning...waited forever to be called for the interview...got in there and they asked him every question under the sun...

what is ur wife and her childs name,

where is the childs father,

what does your wife do for a living,

how do you keep in contact,

when did your wife come to Jordan,

how long did she stay,

did she ever return,

why didn't she return,

why doesn't she come to Jordan to live,

did she meet your family,

do they approve of her,

does her family accept you,

did you meet her family,

does her child accept you,

what color are her eyes,

how tall is she,

how old is she,

what is the name of her town,

how long has she lived there,

what are the names of the members of her family,

what town(s) do they live in,

what are their ages,

how much money does your wife make,

is she happy at her job,

does she own her home,

how long has she lived at her current address...

They asked some of the questions more than once and in different ways (we think that is to see if they can catch someone in a lie)...

They asked for our proof of relationship~he gave it to them~they looked over it all and then gave him a paper which said he had to provide more proof of a relationship. They said he could bring it back any Tuesday or Thursday (i think those were the days) between 11am and 1pm. Now, i remember being so upset coz he took everything we could think of to that interview. . . .

pictures,

chat logs,

phone records,

emails,

gifts,

receipts from sending mail...

We didn't know what else to take so we printed every single chat record since we met and of course some had to be edited for content..... (we spoke every day for hours so it was thousands of sheets of paper). We printed pictures of every gift he sent my family and what I sent his.. Every phone bill (itemized)...

he took it back 3 or 4 days later and they told him they would review all of the information and call him. We were devastated (as everybody is when that happens) around a week later, they called him back to pick up his passport. They returned all of our "proofs" and just smiled at him .. gave him his passport with the visa and that was it....

I hope this helps some :)

we were technically on AR for about a week. Our case (me and noor) was one of the last cases with a shorter AR time span. Our interview date was set about 4 months in advance...after we got our date, the interview dates were scheduled 6 months to 1 year in advance!!

Ladies, I have a question. I hear Amman will allow the beneficiary to have his fiance/wife present with him during the interview. Is that true or just a rumor? Also, do they interview in a room or at a window?

they'll allow the wife there but it will have no impact on the decision they will make. (at least that is what i've heard from other people when they've discussed this issue)

Thanks Amal, so they won't allow the fiance in interview??? Geez... thats disheartening. I should still be there with him though even if I have to wait outside. I think it would calm him down alot just having me their. Worst case, if we're denied - for any reason, we'll go ahead and get married like we originally planned to do. The K1 was my idea, based on finances and the fact that I didn't have enough vacation time to actually have a big wedding there. Now, I told him I dont even care about a party, I just want to be his wife and start of life together. Since I already sent in the paperwork we'll see what happens with it.

When I asked Amman if I could come to the interview they told me no! And we are married! So I decided to not worry about it... So I can come? (probably won't though).

What's in packets 3 and 4?I can tell you if I got that! I didn't use a lawyer or anything, and seriously I don't have a clue how things were supposed to be :) I just got stuff in the mail, did it, then sent things back. They actually sent HIS interview materials to ME. So I learned about his date that way. It came with a copy of all of the forms he would have to have and his medical examination information and the stuff about photos and whatnot.
