Birth certificate

My fiance and I are getting all of our basic paperwork sorted.

We were wondering is a handwritten official birth certificate ok to use for the interview? It has both parents names on it, as well as the birthplace. I would assume that's considered "long-form?" Or does it have to be a computer printed one?

My birth certificate is hand written (it's the original one, not a copy). I had no problems with it going through the immigration process.

The long form is what you need. They do not accept the short form at the interview. The long form specifies both your parents names. Google shows the various examples of the long form vs short form certificate, long form is usually A4 landscape/portrait.

I can't see why not - my original British birth registration is actually type written, but when I ordered a new copy, the only one on file was hand written and it was basically a photocopy of that on official paper.
