No Urvashi,

you cant schedule visa interview on your own, after CC you have to wait foe few days, NVC will sent your File to Mumbai consulate and they will schedule your interview.

once your interview has been scheduled you will receive email conformation and your P4/interview letter.

Good luck,

Okay. It's just that currently Mumbai seems to be taking a lot of time to schedule interviews. Don't know what is wrong with it. :(

NVC will not send file to consulate till after interview has been scheduled. NVC then sends out confirmation email and status on ceac changes to 'in transit' once interview is scheduled and file is on it's way to Consulate.

Looks like Mumbai and Delhi are taking a long time to schedule September interviews.

I agree with you KierenHby. Mumbai and Delhi both are sucking at scheduling the interviews right now. We just want to with our spouses and we've already waited so long. Is it too much to ask for at least this last process to go faster?! :(

Have you heard anything about your interview? Have you been calling?

lazy's visa category is K1, fiance visa. K1 applicants can schedule their own interviews after NVC cc, unlike CR1s.

Sincere apologies for the confusion,

That is correct, my case was K-1 and point of reference for the update.

I realized others with cc before mine (my wife's case) are awaiting interviews. So I'd rather have others get their interviews first. It's only fair.

I'm not calling, not stressing myself, I'm sure the email will eventually come. Tab tak, I'll go about life.

can anyone help on this.

I have interview scheduled for 15 th Dec at mumbai consulate. we had sent docs in Aug with old aos form. according to uscis website new aos form is in effect from October. Are we required to fill in the new aos form and take it to interview. Is it required? I guess people who already had their interview can shed light on this.

How long does it typically take for the passport and visa to be returned after the interview?

Trying to figure out whether it makes sense to opt for picking them back up in person by sticking around in Mumbai, or having them deliver via courier to Kolkata (which is our city). Has anyone here done it via the courier, is it preferable to sticking around in Mumbai?

My husbands visa only took 2 days to get in Mumbai for pickup. He said it's taking about two weeks by courier. Good luck!

Congrats and good luck for your interview. In the past 10 days did you ever called NVC about case? as just to see whether your interview was scheduled in the first batch or scecond batch.

I do not know. I just called them to check status and he told me congrats your interview is scheduled. Was surprised as I was expecting it to be late Dec or early Jan based on the timelines. May be they expedited, I am not sure.
