thespoons,

I got a question, I've been calling around for Civil Surgeon and most of all that needs vaccinations cost around $230 average and if it just to transcribe it is around $60. How come you were just able to transcribe from DS-3025 to I-693 ? They said they require us to have a flu shot too. You didn't undergo any vaccines?

Oh. I didnt get any shots at all just a transcription... I believe they are just telling you to get a flu shot because they assume that you are just about to submit the aos packet... since you got approved for the ead already, why dont you wait for the interview first and the io will tell you if you need a new i693/vaccines sheet or not anyway. This way it will save you some money if they wont require you submit a new one... :) just make sure you have your 3025 copy with you during the interview.

Hello thespoons and ohmymy,

This is Grace, And yes, we just decided to wait for the interview and incase they will give us RFE then we'll make it. LOL.

Thank you guys for the advice, I'm actually a lil nervous about the vaccine shots because I hate sharps. and oh well another pain in the ###. LOL.

But Im confident that I had all the shots they asked before I came here. So I dont think its necessary.

I hope we'll be lucky enough not to ask about it during the interview.

Hi ohmymy, you're just living in L.A prolly we can hang out soon! :)

Sorry if I rarely reply on here, lol. Thanks for the help guys! We really appreciate it!

We've still not filed AOS.

Looks like we will be slightly late. I've read is not too bad as long as we don't go 180 days past I-94 expiration. Though whatever overstay is accrued will stay on record. :(

I've read that any overstay on a K-1 is forgiven as long as you married within the 90 days. It's on record, but not negative and won't be actionable against you two. I've only read that, but it makes sense. ICE isn't looking to devote resources to track down people that are eligible for status unless they are detrimental to the public at large, like criminals. You should be good.

Looks like they are processing March now. Who here has been approved and received their NOA2? Anyone with a NOA1 after March 20th?

My fiance sent me a picture of the vaccination worksheet he got back from the embassy. They kept his copy. For some reason, the clinic marked that he received the polio vaccine only, but then marked that he received ALL the required vaccines. Great. Now it seems we need to wait for my insurance to cover him (which will require an SSN) and then get the vaccination record transcribed by a civil surgeon.

Oh well, just another step in the process. At least we are going to be together as we do these steps!

I believe you dont need to have insurance to have a transcription of the shots he got... unless he needs the shots which he can get from the cs as well...

True, but I figured if we go to our family physician after he's covered under the insurance, then I would only need to pay for the copay of $25. But maybe I should call some cs, huh? Earlier you guys were talking about needing to pay the cs just to transcribe them, so maybe the cost may be worth it? I should at least find out what they would charge us for all those shots.
