Here's the link. Very important to know. I shouldve known last june...

Thespoons,

Thank you so much, even though we can't get the ID before the AOS it's ok with us. What more important is we will have all the proper documentation regarding the AOS. By the way I just read about this regarding our concern about the medical. This might help.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/101202-faqs-forms-i-693-and-ds-3025/

We already had the vaccination from St Lukes and every corner (Mrs Presson, Greenbaum and that link) specifies that we only need the DS-3025 to include It in the I-485 when applying for the AOS. As long as they said that the St Luke's medical is still within a year up to filing of AOS is valid. So please please also read about it and let me know about your thoughts.

We got the shots needed from st lukes too. I believe it would be good to print, and include in the packet, the part of the instructions of the aos form that says we only need the vaccine sheet (and highlight it). It seems not all adjucators know how to go about aos from k1... and thanks too! :) i'll do more research and let you know if i found something helpful. :)

We got our visa! He got a call from the embassy to drop off his passport. I know I will wake up and tell him about this wonderful dream and he will need to listen about how I heard his voice so joyful, how I texted my friends that I am getting married and that I posted on VJ too. He will laugh and ask me why I started dreaming crazy things again since my exam. Or maybe I will wake up to his messages about when he is going to drop off the passport, what his brother said, and how he felt whispering the good news in his dad's comatose ear. This is a nice dream; maybe it will be reality when I wake up... Praise Jehovah God!

And I see on the TSC March filer thread that it has been officially announced by a March TSC filer themself, that they got their NOA2! Our March TSC filers aren't too far behind! I hope we have everyone accounted for come the end of September - the sooner the better! It's looking like TSC March filers have only 8-10 weeks of waiting left? Maybe? Texas looks like they have slowed the past few days, but they only have one more stack and about a month and a half of petitions left. It might be all downhill (in a good way!!) from here...!!!

You do not need a CS. Go to my website and read the details of what to include with your AOS package referencing the instructions that does not require a visit to CS.

Hello everyone,

Im a silent march 2015 filer since it was created! Im so thankful for this thread because it really helps us with our journey, finally we got our visa yesterday!! Anyways just want to ask about the issued visa. There's 2 dates on our approved Visa on the passport.

One is the expiry date which is Jan 2015 and the other is the Petition Valid till August 29? Do we need to travel to the US before the petition validity which is August 29? Thanks in advance!

Here is a good explanation on how to read your visa. Hope this helps. Yes you will need to be on US soil before August 29.

Hi guys,

I have some questions regarding SSN and AOS

My husband and I went to SSN today to apply for a number, but they didn't give me, even I showed them my passport, I-94 and marriage certificate. They told us to go to immigration to report our marriage first and get the authorization card and come back to apply for SSN. So that means we have to file for AOS first and we have to wait for the Employment Authorization Document before we apply for SSN?

The Authorization Card they were talking about is the Employment Authorization Document?

We went to the bank today to put my name for a joint account with my husband and they were asking for an ID with my US address on it, but I didn't have anything to show since I don't have any US Id's yet. They just put me as the beneficiary of my husband.

We're thinking, what if the bank cant put me to joint account with my husband and only as beneficiary. Can we just still use it as one of our evidences?

I hope somebody can help us about this.. Thanks in advance.

you don't have to wait for your ead unless your visa is only valid for less than 14 days.

the ss officer shouldve let you apply for a ss card/number. F and I applied for one and they only asked for the passport and the ss5 form. We did bring the i94, a copy of birth certificate and a print out of this: https://secure.ssa.gov/apps10/poms.nsf/lnx/0110211530(in case we got a new employee who doesnt know how to process ss application of k1 visa holder). we got the ss card/number after 5 days.

i guess you can go back to the ss office with the print out of the documentation saying that your wife can apply for an ss number/card and highlight that part and show it to the ss employee....

you need your ss number to have your wife added to your bank. am not sure if a documentation of her being your beneficiary is a "strong" evidence but i do believe that you can use it for your aos packet

thespoons,

Actually, the SSN officer told me that your K-1 is not valid anymore because we already got married. They said we should have applied before we got married. They didn't even use the I-94 even our marriage certificate. I guess we just have to file for the AOS and once we get our EAD then we will reapply for the SSN.

To all March filers,

Just a reminder to apply for SSN first before getting married. We were not given an SSN because they said our K1 is not valid anymore and we will apply for SSN after we get the EAD. Probably get it after 2 weeks of arrival.
