Hello,

As of last year or so they started accepting photocopies, meaning that you don't have to mail original documents like birth and marriage certificates anymore, there was a link to that act but I can't find it now, however the NVC states that you should send originals or certified copies, but if they're in any language other than English, they must be accompanied by certified and accurate translations. In our cases whenever they asked for anything I always sent copies and they didn't object.

There are more details on what you need to submit here: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/submit/documents-to-submit-to-nvc.html

Good luck and if you need anything don't hesitate to post back here. :)

For NVC, they can send photocopies of their NSO BC and MC.

Bring the originals to the interview.

Bring also original to the US as they'll need it at some point. The ones submitted to the embassy will not be returned.

Good luck!

If you have already filed the 2014 tax return then you should use it, if not then 2013, as there's still time until the deadline on April 15th I think.
