So I just realized I missspelled my last name. I switched 2 letter in there. I just send the confirmation back to consulate yesterday.

Any tips on what I can do?

I have read on here people just re-submitting it when they have made errors and that's been fine. Maybe do a VJ search?

Oooh. I'd definitely NOT bring different docs to the interview, even if it's just a name spelling. Consulates pride themselves at being the first line of the U.S. law (same as the guys at Immigration when you enter the U.S.). I'd definitely call the Consulate and ask what to do first (you are definitely allowed to call them!). It's an honest mistake, they should see that right away, and at worst, they'd just tell you to do what you've already thought of doing - resubmit a new application. No worries! :)

Ohh okay won't do that then. Someone on here said to bring those to interview.

I don't know how up to date this info is but you clould try this number, 020-575 5309.

Calling this number, you get into a menu which will refer to the information number underneath for all visa-related matters.

You should call this number between 9-12 am. Choose option 2 for Dutch menu, then option 5 for the immigrant visa department.

You could also call direct: 020-5755331 or 020-5755333 (the last number is the one to which you are being forwarded when you call the above number).

Of course they say they don't have a phone number for you. But guess what? A fax number is just as good! I'd fax them.

http://amsterdam.usconsulate.gov/contact_visit_iv2.html

I also see on their website this message on the side:

Sending Documents: Fax or e-mail?
  • When an original document is required you should send it by mail or courier of course. But if you need to send a document for information purposes only you can send it by fax. Best would be however if you send your document(s) by e-mail, as a PDF file for instance. This will allow us respond quicker and assist you better with any consular issues you may have. Thank you all for the info. I tried calling them but I kept getting aessage saying no operators are available at this time. Goodbye.

But today they replied to my email and they said that they will correct the mistake when they received it.

They got packet 3 Friday so I hope I get my dates soon. ?
