Affidavit of Support from a second person?

Can you have a second person fill out an affidavit of support if your income is going to be too borderline to stand on its own? I am the only petitioner listed on the I-129F because my income was going to be fine when we sent the paperwork but I've since gotten pregnant and have a baby due next month and with that addition I won't make enough money on my own to support us. My mom can fill out an affidavit of support too no problem. I just didn't know if you could do that after you already have your NOA2 and the case is on its way to the NVC.

Yes but some embassies do not accept joint sponsors. Check the regional forum to be sure.

If your mother isn't supporting anyone else, she'll need $19,913 a year for 2 people (her + your fiancé)

There is nothing in the I-129F process about sponsors, so of course it is fine and normal to do it at the NVC and K1 stage.

Yes, I did see your response. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some rule that we had to list my mom on the petition if she was going to fill out an affidavit of support because we didn't do that. She makes over $60,000 and we will be living in her house so with my income and hers we shouldn't have a problem.....hopefully!
