Yes eventually NVC will mail a letter. I always suggest to email NVC requesting the MNL # (also) in hopes of getting the email with your MNL # for use at SLEC

It is really mandatory for slec the nvc letter? Or is it ok if i just screenshot ready status from ceac and tell that i received my case number through phone?

It is not mandatory, follow Hank's excellent link at the bottom of his post's, the flashing arrow, he walks you through the whole process from NVC to POE. It's what we followed. It explains everything you need to know.

Good Luck

Screenshot is a gamble because nowhere on it does it have names, it's simply a number that could be anyone's.

Odds are SLEC will let you in to do medical with just the screenshot, but better to wait the week for the NVC letter/email or set an embassy appointment and use the USEM appointment confirmation letter. When we lived there for DOT we would see people getting turned away with screenshot only, yet read here in VJ of the success of others.

Traveling a significant distance and making hotel reservations by SLEC can add up. It just takes the decision of the guards to say yes or no for entry.

St. Luke's website states they want either the NVC letter or the interview confirmation letter, same info is posted on the embassy website. I have read of some bring a screenshot of the CEAC website .. but it is not on the requested list.

The only hiccup I could see for not having the NVC letter is your docs from NVC haven't reached the USEM...that would entails being turned away during interview in USEM.

Im still checking my status at ceac to be ready before i schedule my interview. So then i know my physical file was already at USEM

There is no reason to wait for CEAC status to show ready for scheduling your interview as long as you are scheduling your interview about a month out from when you received the MNL #. Of course there is no harm in waiting either if that is your choice, just burning daylight and losing closer interview dates.
