It's not difficult to see that the "arm everyone" strategy isn't working. That's what inner city gangs have been doing for years and we see the carnage that leaves behind. It's not hard to understand that the carnage would be less severe or even absent if these folks didn't have that easy and ready access to firearms. Too hard to understand for some, apparently.

The inner city gangs are illegal gun users. Until recently, only the criminals in Chicago had guns because the law abiding citizens weren't allowed to carry. That may have something to with the carnage.

Montana is beautiful with lots of natural resources. I would spend my everyday outside if I could.

You will find many northern states have higher suicide rates. It probably has something to do with daylight hours. I believe suicide is elevated in countries like Norway as well.

So in the Southern states we can blame the violence on the heat. Too much heat and sun makes the brain fry. Throw gun powder into the mix and we got ourselves a gun fight.

That is true but I think we're not at the point where one should break out the champagne. There's too much gun violence out there - tens of thousands of dead bodies every year is something that I find cries for a policy response. But apparently, we're happy to walk over those dead bodies as long as nobody touches our precious little guns.

Its because, at the core, its not about guns but about jobs. Areas with the highest crime rates have the highest unemployment.
