Hello VisaJourney!



I have a question. Me and my fiance are on 42nd day after accepting by USCIS the respond on our RFE. It`s been a long time of waiting and I want to share this with you, so maybe someone can give us some advice. Or maybe some couple is going through this such long wait, as we do.



Thanx and sorry for my English, I am the beneficiary (not a native speaker).

Well I could guess that your case is being processed by CSC, you're still fortunate as others needed to wait like 5months and more (TSC) just to get their RFE's for some. But once you provided what is being asked then your case will be processed right away. Be patient and let's hope that we'll all be together with our loved ones ;)

yes, I know TCS situation. But I am from Cali and it is weird to wait 42 days after RFE, this is my concern, because people from California get approved in weeks, and we are waiting more than month...strange...


Maybe somebody else is going through a long wait?

Most likely the adjucator will be re-examining your case soon. Each has their own methods of how they handle RFE cases.

Some may respond quickly once your RFE info is returned, others may wait until the end of the month or others may wait until the RFE box is filled to get back to it. All you can do it keep waiting.

Oh thanx...I am waiting and waiting, exhausting... I look at the Igor`s list here and I see, that everybody gets approvals in weeks, nobody waits more than month.

Thanx for your explanation, I know I have to wait and nobody can help it. I thought maybe I could find somebody in situation, like mine... but I can see no one.

It depends how busy they are and hoping they did not find another 2nd rfe on your application. It took 1 week for approval after csc received my rfe. Check my signature. Goodluck.

06/08/2018 - Mailed Application at USPS.

06/09/2018 - Delivered at USPS P.O. Box.

06/25/2018 - Check has been cashed.

06/25/2018 - NOA1 (USPS).

03/08/2019 - Case Txt/Email Notification for activity.

03/08/2019 - Fingerprint Waived.

03/18/2019 - Letter Notification Received for Biometrics waived.

06/03/2019 - Received Biometrics appointment notice  (usps). (notice date 05/24/2019)

06/04/2019 - Sent request to reschedule biometrics appt for 1 day delivery using usps since wife is out of the country.

06/05/2019 - ASC center received request to reschedule biometrics.

07/23/2019 - We ordered your new card online status!

07/24/2019 - Case Approved online status.

07/31/2019 - Received Green Card!
