Yeah every time I have called they told me that it is normal and they can't see if they got it because for EP they don't see it till someone works on it. And I asked about automatic reciept and they told me it is hit or miss.

I guess I try to call tonight. I'm worried they will tell me that I never got it and when I sent it, it takes 35 more days :(

Yeah, I feel that with EP they do not really have a rigid control of when things come by email..

I just got a receipt for my documents after asking over and over, it did not come automatically.

Hi, don't worry too much about getting a checklist. My impression is that the NVC is a lot more lenient than it used to be.

Actually I made a mistake in my documents (the embassy in BR wanted a report from a different police department than the one I got mine from) and I got a call from NVC today asking for me to bring it to the interview, instead of giving me a checklist. I think that unless you forgot a crucial document like income proof or marriage certificate, they let it pass.

Let me know how it goes!

Well I suppose it's too late to worry now lol I have seen a few people asked to take things to interview instead of a checklist, but the ones I've seen have been for fiancee visas rather than CR1/2.

I think for cases like ours, where you have a parent and child immigrating together you should be able to just do one lot of forms, even if you still have to pay fees for each person. It would definitely make it easier for us and I assume for NVC, too.

I will definitely post in here when we get CC!

Does your embassy usually take long to schedule an appointment?

Just got off the phone after calling. They told me the same thing. That they can't really tell with emails, that they can't see anything and that it can take 30 days to review (this guy said 30 not 35 like the ladt guy). They he told me to try and call back next week.

I'm really worried something happened and they never got my emails with the packets.

I was just hoping by now they could say something about if they even have them.

I don't think I ever got a case complete email, but I did get a P4 interview letter a few days after case complete... :goofy:

If they have confirmed that your case is complete at nvc and just waiting for interview, then I would advise not to worry about the email (unless you've received zero emails thus far, in which case you should call and verify email on file and request test email)

If you guys have any questions specifically for me,

Well then , you're only a few weeks away! I hope it goes quickly for you :)

I just logged in to ceac and my two children's AOS fee have changed to N/A so I'm guessing they have CC! Going to get hubby to call NVC and confirm, and just check that I don't have any problems with my case too. Being together at Christmas is still looking possible...

Well, I'm kind of worried because a few countries in Latin America already have scheduled interviews for November but I haven't heard anything yet. I'm going to call them later today, maybe before I go to sleep - I'm eight hours ahead from the NVC time because the company I work for has sent me to a project abroad.

This is great news! Ask him to ask the NVC to include your case too - the documents to be reviewed are almost the same. After I got my CC, I called them and they did it for my daughter in 24 hours. You're very close! :content:

Yes, it does vary hugely between embassies! I think ours is pretty quick compared to many. I hope you get a date later on when you call, I'll be sending positive vibes your way :)
