Hi

My fiance and i had to call to get our case number and id number from the NVC. I want to schedule her interview. I am concerned about not having the instruction letter from the NVC because i don't know if i need anything else or not. I have already sent her my I-134 and all my financial information.

Is there anything else i need to do? Should i wait? Am i the only one with this issue?

Please let me know.

Thank You.

Marshel

NVC will send you a letter containing your Case Number. NVC Letter, she needs it to proceed with her Medical. But if no letter arrives from NVC, she can print the Status "Ready" as proof, her case is ready for medical and interview. USEM don't send letter for beneficiary here in the Philippines. She's good to go.

Normally the petitioner receives the MNL letter from NVC in the mail within a week or so after we get that verbally on the phone. Also emailing NVC can yield a reply that has the MNL. This can take 1 day to get the email reply, a few days or more.

I scanned that letter to fiancée and she used that to enter SLEC for medical, along with all of the other requirements at www.slec.ph

NVC doesn't send an instructions letter with the K-1 visa, just a letter noting the MNL # which St. Luke's asks for a copy (3) of during the medical. I suggest emailing NVC asking for the MNL# (yes I know you have it already) and then forward their reply email with the MNL# to your fiancee - this can be used for the medical. Details in the link below in my signature.

For details on the complete process follow the flashing arrow below. In there is a link to the embassy instructions letter - this lists everything required for the visa interview.

Suggest you review the link, contents of,

Can't see it, you say? Come back on a PC, change yer profile settings to allow signatures to be visible, and you'll see the link.

That link is important, as it's the Bible for SuperFast K-1 visa chasing in Manila IV, contains all that you need to know. Once you read it, I hope you'll get some sense that a 'letter' from NVC is not important. If you don't read it, well, yer missing out on lots of stuff, as it's complete.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I have tried calling nvc several times to get my case number and cannot get through. My timeline is the same as the op.

Calling about 7:30am or toward 5PM is your best bet.

For details I added the link to the guide...

I emailed the NVC on December 12, 2014 asking for my case number. They replied on February 4, almost 2 months later, after we already received the K-1 visa. I am not sure how long it usually takes the NVC to reply but I would not keep my hopes up too much expecting a prompt email reply.

Was the email in the format that NVC requires? I find it very weird it took that long, I got a reply the next day.
