What would we do without you Leo7777?!?! Looks like you have a good chance of getting any first response and then it'll trickle down. I am putting my money on late march, early April for people that filed during the first week of FEB. I was looking at January's filings and they all seem to be getting a response for EAD/AP a couple of days before or after the date USCIS received their package!!! ::crossing fingers:: it wont be long now!!! :secret::dancing:

IRS rejected Tax 1040 form . . .

Never heard of IRS rejecting a filed tax return.

Maybe if there was no signature?

Yes, they audit tax returns; but reject . . . ?

No, zero fluency.

Some say USA citizens are lazy by not knowing a (or any) foreign language.

But actually we are just lucky.

English is the language of the world or the second language for the rest of the world where it is not the native language.

You can travel to practically any location in the world and find someone who speaks understandable English . . . except in the United Kingdom.

And, actually you are not doing a foreign spouse any favor by learning some of their native language. To do so will be to slow down their process of assimilation and economic progress in the USA.

Yes, they audit tax returns; but reject . . . ?

Yes they can reject....normally if it was a wrong ss number or it didn't match up with what the IRS has on file. Or someone could have already filed a return under your name (identity theft).

Biometrics complete, Friday 3/13!

The Aurora office was ok, relatively quick. My husband's and son's applications included only their first last name (not their second last name that they have in Mexico, because if they use their second last names then I have to use them as well), and that caused a few minute delay in processing, but not bad. I had a momentary panic thinking I had filled out the application incorrectly, but they accepted it!

Now to keep on waiting!!! :clock:

My husband and son both speak Spanish and are getting better at English every day! My daughter and I speak English almost exclusively, but I want all of us to be bilingual. It seems to be much easier for the kids though!!!

Out of curiosity, those of you who are on this site for your spouse, are you fluent in their native language?

I am not fluent in my Spouses native language, but I understand a lot of it since I have been going to Russia and Ukraine a lot over the last 12 years.
