Thank god for this forum for moral support. We are all in the same boat.

Think that's the biggest part for me, people try and understand but they really don't have a clue what you're going through at least on here everyone is going through the same thing pretty much.

Well I just called NVC and they said London will notify me of the interview date if it's scheduled! I know that! But I thought NVC could tell you? obviously it's not scheduled but I guess no point in calling NVC again.

Currently in the Knightsbridge waiting room while my fiancé is getting his medical done. Has been super smooth sailing so far. We got here an hour early and they said they can see him anyway since they are not busy!

Apparently his tetanus shot is not up to date but they said it's not an issue for the K-1, he will just need it for AOS. Does anyone know if this is correct?

You're lucky I was 45 minutes early and had to wait they were fully booked haha. It's pretty easy I was impressed with the doctor I saw he was a nice guy.

That is correct technically though, if going for AOS I believe it's on the pricy side to get done.

GET THE SHOT DONE IN KNIGHTSBRIDGE NO MATTER HOW MUCH.

I didn't, then I did some research, doing it in the US will be COSTLY and a massive stress. In most cases, you will have to have another medical done there. When filing for AOS, they wont accept anything other than the DS3025 form as proof of vaccinations. I didn't get my second MMR done, and I had to manically rush to get it done in UK before Knightsbridge sent my results to embassy, and they sent me a revised DS3025.

Once again, GET IT DONE TODAY. TRUST US!!!

and good luck!

Knightsbridge is funny lately. It's like they don't want money all the sudden. :P

He needs to get his tetanus shot before he leaves and make sure it's all marked down on his sheet or else come AOS time, you're going to have to cough up a lot of money to get it and get everything all re-certified, if you can find an approved doctor stateside willing just to handle the injections part of things.

If you haven't a problem going through this later than by all means take Knightsbridge's advice...

Well I mean they told us we can still get it done through his GP before he leaves, and as long as he has the records for AOS it would be fine?

Like I mentioned in a reply before, they clearly said he can get it done with his GP whenever before he leaves for the U.S., and then as long as he had the records from his GP then it would be fine. We asked 2 different people and they said the same thing...

Could it be different because it's just a tetanus booster? It's not like he had never had a tetanus shot before... It's just a boster. But yes they are very insistent that it doesn't need to be on their records, we just need to bring his updated vaccine list from his GP for AOS.

NOPE. DON'T believe them. They have NO IDEA what is involved for AOS. TRUST ME. you will kick yourself later on of you don't get it done now.... !! At AOS, they won't accept anything from UK doctors ... it MUST be approved and SIGNED by their approved physicians. so this is either Knightsbridge, or a costly dude in the USA.

Yeah we decided to just bite the bullet and do it now. The receptionist is asking the nurse hopefully they will do it for us. There is literally no one else in the waiting room right now so hopefully they are okay with fitting us in..

*update* the nurse just tried to talk us out of it saying we really didn't need too. Pulled some bs about saying my lawyer just told me to get it done now and mentioned the civil surgeon fee so she knew I meant business and wasn't going to get turned away haha..

Lol oh man another update. Apparently someone else overheard me from the reception desk say I wasn't going to risk it because of the AOS fee and wanted to get the shots all checked off now and they decided to do the same thing. The nurse is glaring at me now whoops

Hm yeah hopefully I made the right choice. I'm looking at the actually vaccine sheet they gave him now and for the tetanus line it does have the "A" indicating that the shot is not needed because it is not age appropriate... So I mean from this sheet it looks like his records are complete..?

Oh well it's too late to go back now. £75 hopefully well spent!
