I received another email today stating my file was assigned to the Adjudication Officer 2 weeks ago. The email went on to say that my case is taking longer than their current 4 month processing time because I filed the k3 in conjunction with the I130. She said there are only a few Officers at the VSC that are trained to handle these cases together. Said by applying for the k3 I added an additional 4 weeks of processing time smh. She said both cases are with the Adjudicator. How much longer now?

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

well you just said they said you added 4 weeks to your case. Seems you would have been done so maybe in another 4 to 8 weeks or so you will be done, Maybe. Big Maybe. Ay least they let you know. That was nice to let you know.. You must have put in a service request. It's only been 4 months and they let you know. WOW..

As you see the I-129F and I-130 will get approved together and the I-129F will get closed once it arrives at NVC. So all that extra waiting fro nothing. Sorry.

YEP in a nutshell I should have never filed the k3 and yes I was so surprised they were so detailed and open. She provided clear details. It'll be 5 months Feb 3rd but she said in the email they are processing I130 in 4 month's. Another surprise to me. But yea I'm finally close. Thank God

I experience the same thing, they were confused by the K3 and it took them over a month to give me AOS invoice, I had to call many times and a supervisor looked at my case.
