Hi,

I was just wondering if you guys know if SLEC could be open this coming February 19, 2015 (Chinese New Year).

The US embassy accepts interview on this date however I am not sure with SLEC.

Thank you very much for your response!

There is nothing about closures on the SLEC website that I could find. The only holiday in February is U.S. President's Day U.S. Feb 16, Mon and the Embassy will be closed.

Hi Hershe :) I think they are close coz it is a special non working day..SLEC follows PH Holidays. But you can try calling them tomorrow just to make sure :)

Are you planning to have ur medical on Feb 19? If yes, why not as early as Feb. 19?

Proclamation No. 831, s. 2014

February 19, 2015, Thursday – Chinese New Year (Special non-working day)

After 2 unsuccessful days of calling SLEC, I finally got a hold of their operator today.

She said there was still no announcement of a Feb 19 closing but they do follow Philippine holidays.

And since Feb 19 is a special non-working day in the Philippines then I guess they will be closed.

So, probably would have my medical earlier.

Thank you for your replies!
