Hi guys,

If a person gets married to a US citizen in country A (place of birth of the applicant) but they reside in country B, will it be an issue if the applicant chooses to do the visa processing from country B i.e. a different country to where the marriage took place? This is for the immigrant spouse visa. Thanks!

Not an issue as long as you aee legally residing in that country. Just make sure when you get to the NVC stage that your case number is correct.

Each case number at the NVC has 3 letters at the beginning that explain where the interview will be. You can change it if they get it wrong but it's best to do asap.
