After scheduling a date with the US Embassy, can we change date date???

Hello VJ,

The available dates for the US Embassy Interview are up. I will like to know if we pick a date and for some reason we need to change this date can we change the date with out penalties?

If we can change the date, how fare in advance can we do this?

You an reschedule twice without penalty.

You will get a warning if you go to cancel your second appointment that you will have to pay a new visa fee. Plus there will be a 90 waiting period before being allowed to schedule a 3rd interview.

As usual you are amazing. We will like to schedule appointment but I still have not been approved for a release from my medical procedure. Also her kids have exams coming up in February.

Yes we are being patient. We just called Hong Kong Police and they had an answering machine that staed my fiancee need the letter from the US Embassy, with the Bar Code before the send a Police Cert to Manila.

Will you know how far in advance must we give the US Embassy to change the appointment?

Ah... HK for the police certificate, yes they for sure ask for the letter from the embassy. Make contact with the embassy to get this letter, email is what they request for contacting them. This can take a couple months

My fiancee was working in Hong Kong for several years. So we will need her Police Cert from Hong Kong to process the Interview Paper work. Here please look at this link please. You are great at this.

This is why we are thinking about just setting a date and maybe if my release order will not come in on time, we had already started the move on the letter for the US Embassy. Before the date of the interview, we will change the date if I am not release but we will not have the HK Police cert.

Yes you can get the letter from the embassy if you schedule your interview now or if you wait. You need the letter to get the HK police certificate going. Contact the embassy.

Hank, does that mean you can reschedule twice after the original interview date before penalty? We have rescheduled once so far (due to sputum test).
