HELP!!!! Accidentally entered wrong answers on form DS-230

Hello,

My father is having his interview with the U.S. Embassy in couple of weeks. I was discussing the information that I had submitted on form DS-230 when I found out I had entered in the wrong answer on the previous spouse question. I'm not sure what I was thinking, I guess I thought the questions was asking if my dad had previous spouse before my mom (deceased) and I answered NO. I should have answered YES and filled in his marital information with my mom (deceased). I have always said YES to the same questions on all of the previous immigration form and I had sent all of the supporting documents accordingly. My dad will also bring the copies along with him to his interview.

Second mistake, on the petitioner place of birth information, I put in the right city and province where I was born, but on the country, I input United States of America instead of my country of origin. ARGGGHHHH....!!!!!

My questions are, will this be a probable reason of him not passing his interview? and what else can I do to fix these errors?

Do you mean the DS-260?

Nothing much you can do anymore. Once submitted, there's no option to edit. Your father can inform the consul about the errors so they can make the corrections. I don't think it will cause a visa denial. People make mistakes on the forms probably often its no longer "new" to the embassy people.
