we're still waiting for our noa2 letter but accdg to uscis website is that they already approved my wife's petition to her parents.right now is we're preparing the needed paperworks that we need to submit on the iv packet.here's my question

1. is there still ds 230?accdg to some forums that it was already replaced by ds 260. so if we're petitioning our parents,we need to fill up 2 ds 260/ds 230?

2. we still don't have a copy of their passport biographic page and 2x2 pictures. do they need to make a copy and mail it to us and we send it to nvc?

3.my father in law work overseas from 1980 something to 2012/2013 in 5-6 different countries for more than 6 months, does he need to get police certificate in each of the country he worked at?

1. DS-260

2. They can send it directly to NVC together with the other civil docs.

3. Yes but check the country reciprocity because not all countries will issue police clearances for former workers/residents. They definitely need the green NBI clearance (for travel abroad).

so even though my father law in law worked in hong kong from 1996-1998, he still needs a police clearance from hong kong? i check the link that you gave me and its a long process to get a police clearance from hong kong.

He needs the police report. A long process to get it is not a reason for the U.S. to waive the requirement.
