If anyone know the answer to these question I would really appreciate it. Our i485/i130 application is still pending, and the EAD/AP card has been approved.

1) When you travel and re-enter using the EAD/AP card, what status will one be admitted in?

2) I am currently on a J1 visa and obtained a waiver for the 2 year home residence requirement, does that affect my re-entry?

1) "Parolee". You will not be admitted to the US but will be paroled in.

2) No.

I have a similar question. I have applied for I-130, 765, 131 & 485 together, currently working on H-1B visa. My H-1B permit is valid but the visa has expired. Once I receive the AP, I plan to use it to travel abroad for a vacation. Should I carry my H-1B permit approval notice along with AP for re-entry in the US? Would I be re-entering as an H-1 or parolee?
