Why do you need an attorney?

Most everyone on VJ has done the petition on their own.

For most of us a lawyer or visa preparation company is waste of money

What do you need an attorney for?

Are you done with the petition process at USCIS? Has NVC forwarded your case file yet?

That is what I thought you needed done. An attorney can not help you with that.

Have you talked to anyone at the embassy in Manila about this or just get a busy signal?

Your fiancee should call USEM also, if you have not gotten through yet.

Also email them. There is contact info with additional phone numbers in my link below.

Once you have requested the transfer it can take upwards or 60 days... so be prepared to be patient.

Hank,

Everything was done in Hong Kong, and yes I have talked to someone there in the Embassy and they found my email and forwarded it to

an embassy immigration official, but I have not received any communication from them so what should I do next?

Thanks

You will not hear anything for some time now.

Everything is in motion.... all you can do is be patient. Maybe check the CEAC website to track ... not sure what it will show in this case.

I would not rule out emailing once a week or calling, but not everyday.

Patience...

Hank

Last time I spoke with the Embassy was around the 10th of Dec, I just want to make sure things

are moving forward because the Fiance's Passport expires in May. I understand the patience thingy

Thanks for the help

Happy 2015!!

If you have the passport in your hands then you should get moving on renewing it. This process of the visa is going to go on for some time and therefore renew now that you have time.

As far as needing a lawyer they will do more harm then good. There are many of us that are here that have gone through this process and we are here to help others like yourself. Just ask your question here in the forum and you will get your answers many times with a step by step instructions. But, you need to have patience as this visa process can take sometime and you my experience some "pot holes" during your travels. Again, that is why you ask here.
