Got Interview date set email notification but no letter

Early Monday morning we got an email notification that the interview date has been set but no date was given. As of today, the letter with the date has not been received. I would assume the notification processes is fully automated and no human action is required. Unless I am wrong and the person who licks the envelope is on Christmas break.

After looking at the timeline of other vj users, it seems the interview is scheduled about 30 days after the interview letter is received. It would really suck to miss the interview.

If they have a date open for an interview they can book you at that time or at any open time. For us we had everything done and we got an interview in 5 days. They are all on Christmas break. They may be shut down until Jan 12 but I just don't know. Wait for a few more days and if you don't have a letter by then call the call center and explain the situation and the Embassy will get back too you in two days . I hope I have helped

It takes around a week to get a letter (at least for me). They don't mail it the same day. My friend had email notification on Dec 19, but the letter was mailed out only on Dec 23 (according to the post stamp). She received the letter last Saturday (Dec 27).

  • 2 weeks later...

It's gonna come in no time, especially it was during holiday season. My biometrics letter was lost or misrouted somewhere until it decided to show up 2 days before actual appointment (15 days to get to my house.) Good luck.

Still nothing. The interview letter probably lost in the mail.

Since they usually mail interview letters 4-5 weeks in advance, I would recommend that you call when it has been 3 weeks since they mailed out the letter to ask for your interview date over the phone. I have read in other posts that they sometimes refuse to give you the information on the phone unless your interview is within one week of your call. However, it wouldn't hurt to call now because we really don't know when the interview it was. The worst that can happen is that they will tell you to keep waiting for the letter.

Thanks JimmyHou Took your advise and called them. They said the interview is scheduled for 1/30 (less than 3 weeks from now) and I should have received the letter. They are resending the interview letter.
