HAND CARRY- VISA PACKET AND ALL THE DOCUMENTS?

Hello.

I really thought that it is the VISA PACKET you have to hand carry since you will be submitting them to the POE.

How true, that you also have to hand carry all your documents? the one that you bring with you during your interview?

My documents are too heavy. With all the chat logs and receipts and copies of the whole visa process.

Do I have to hand carry it as well?

How about the medical cd and clearance? Hand carry too?

Are you talking about the interview? You don't need a total printout of big things like chat logs or emails, as there is no chance the interviewer is going to take the time to read all of them anyway.

Just give them a reasonable sample, maybe 50 total pages of chat logs and skype and emails and messenger and yahoo and all that other good stuff.

For POE all you need to produce are the sealed package the embassy gives you and your passport with the new visa attached. They do not need or want anything else. Those you want in your hand carry, as you have to produce them before you are reunited with your checked luggage.

I'm waiting for response since I'm packing my luggage and carry on today. Tomorrow night is my flight.

I am talking about the flight and POE since somebody told me that I also have to hand carry all the documents I brought when I had my

interview.

She said I also have to hand carry my medical clearance and cd because it will be ask at POE.

Hand carry only needed for your visa packet and passport. Everything else can go in checked luggage. Have a safe flight.

Maybe because of sputum.

I did sputum as well.

I will just hand carry my medical cd and clearance.

All you need for POE is your passport with visa and the DO NOT OPEN envelope - you need to keep this packet in your carry-on as you will be needing it shortly after exiting the aircraft.

All the other "evidence" from the interview you can toss if you so choose.

Medical CD is not needed at POE, nor is the DS-3025 - you will need a copy of this later for AOS.
