Hi guys,

I am coming to US soon. My vaccination history isn`t complete. I have to take varicella vaccination and make an appointment with Civil Sergeon, who will give me I-863 form. Am I right? Do I understand everything clear?

I am worry how much appointment with Dr. and varicella vaccination will cost to me?

Thank you for answer.

Unfortunately,it is impossible to say as the costs vary widely- and many doctors inflate their prices, knowing you have no choice but to get this done.

Where in the USA will you be living? Maybe our members can recommend a good and cheap civil surgeon.

Sorry I can't help with that, but I added the city and state to your title and hopefully someone will come along from the area with info.

I don't know if you still need this information. I live in San Antonio and work in the medical field.

If you have health insurance, the Affordable Care Act makes it so vaccines are covered at no cost to you. https://www.healthcare.gov/preventive-care-benefits/

If you don't have health insurance, go the San Antonio Metro Health District Immunization Clinic and get your shots there. If you don't have medical insurance, tell them and they may be able to lower the price or waive it. Doesn't hurt to ask. http://www.sanantonio.gov/Portals/0/Files/health/HealthServices/Immunizations/ImmunizationFeeSchedule-Adult.pdf

Did you have varicella as a child? It may be cheaper to have the blood test to show you are immune.

There's a thread in here about "civil surgeons who don't rip you off" try searching the forum for it and maybe you'll find your location.

You may just have to call the surgeons on the list from uscis and ask them for price for vaccine and vaccine transcribtion only, not full medical as many will insist you need one. When i moved to Orlando I had to call about 2 of them in a reasonable driving distance before finding one that didn't try to rip me off.

It is not where I breathe but where I love that I live.
