Hello All,

I'm due for removal of conditions in February and wanted to clarify the joint lease requirement. I have the rental agreements jointly signed by my wife (USC) and I for 2013 and 2014. However, for 2015 (please note that our lease renewal is due every December) our apartment complex stated that we don't need to sign a new agreement since we intend to continue our contract for 2015 and so it's going to be an automatic renewal without the need for a new documentation.

Here are my questions - (1) for the purpose of ROC, would the 2013 and 2014 rental agreements be sufficient without risking an RFE or do I need to insist that our apartment allow us sign a new agreement?

(2) Alternatively, can I simply ask my apartment complex to provide us with a renewal letter (signed and/notarized) stating the 2015 lease?

Thanks for your suggestions and advice.
