Hey guys, in need of a little help. Just paid AOS fees and wanted to know a few things before proceeding. I am currently above the poverty guideline but started my current job in September and last year I was way below. I am planning to file with a sponsor. Which form would I need to fill? Would I need a letter from my employer? Any help would be amazing and please enlighten me on the various steps that come after! PLEASE. THANKS!!!!!

You file I-864, show taxes. A letter from the employer saying this is a permanent job with X salary and you are likely to be employed along time is a very good idea. Also include a few paystubs when it comes to interview time. You may well be ok without a co-sponsor as you will have had the job for several month by interview time.

You may want to check with other people from that embassy as some of the Caribbean embassies require 3 years above the poverty guidelines.

Also to note, in the DR, the petitioner MUST attend the interview.

thanks for the replies guys, very helpful! So the co-sponsor and I have to fill out I-864? And does the co-sponsor need to send in any other documentation?

If her new name is on her passport then use that.
