Finally Received Interview Date

9 posts in this topic

Started the petition in July, 2014 and now we just received a letter for my wife's interview date (woohooooo!!).

Question: The appointment time says 6:15am. Is this the exact time of her interview? Our friends told us that that's the time they everyone to come and my wife would have to wait for her name to be called. Is this true?

About 5 am all the scammers line up outside the embassy to offer services to people. Hold your fone, steal you fone, sell you a ballpen for 200 peso, etc.

Get there and stand in line and then get a number play the game inside the embassy. Too many scammers in Manila and near the Embassy, just like flies to honey........

I'd say the "scammers" are offering a service and if you are absent minded and didn't bring or read the rules about electronics, you're left with no other choices but to pay their higher prices. Just remember you do have a choices.

I tend to think of them as offering a service that you forgot to offer yourself. Just remember to bring what you will need and don't bring electronics!! It's simple.

Each one you meet is happy to help, they are just expecting something in return for the ink pen they have and you don't or the paper they have and you don't, or the chair that they have and you don't. I'd rather think of them as opportunist offering a service. Just my two centavos.

Dress code wise they said wear something you would wear when you apply for a job. It's better to be overdressed than under dressed. Goodluck!

Dress is comfortable but not sexy as one other has said. Don't look like a beggar but you don't have to look like your going to a "Ball". Be clean and neat otherwise enjoy your interview as it goes by rather quickly. Be confident and look the CO in the eye when you answer.
