Hello! I got the dreaded checklist today...

My mistake was that I put the "wages, salaries, tips" total instead of the total income

"In Part 6. Sponsor's Income and Employment, please correct the following...
[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal
income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead."

I see my mistake BUT because that # is wrong for the for the most recent tax year that means so is "Part 6: 5 current individual annual income" AND "Part 6: 10 current annual household income" because they are all affected by the same total income # BUT the checklist only recognizes 1 of those 3 incorrect numbers...I feel like I shouldn't change anything on the forms that they didn't checklist but if it doesn't match it is incorrect...OH WHAT TO DO!?!

Plus, I realize now that I put the "wages, salaries, tips" total instead of the total income on all 3 most recent tax years, but I only included the tax return transcript for 2013 so many that's why the other 2 years didn't get a checklist? but now I know they are incorrect as well!

I'm not sure If I should follow a "don't volunteer information they didn't ask for" approach or include some kind of letter explaining this?!? but something tells me i might be a bad idea to say too much! I just don't want to make sure I do this right or else I'll be so stressed for ANOTHER 60 days!

I'D BE SO GRATEFUL FOR YOUR HELP!

My thoughts are if you don't give you a RFE then I wouldn't respond until then. I think it would be hard to get the corrected information into your file.

Just my 2 cents.
