Consulate Review: Sweden
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 11, 2015
Embassy Review : My interview was at 8:30am February 3, 2015, at the US Embassy Stockholm. When I arrived they checked me for bombs before I could enter. My wife wasn't allowed in with me so she waited in the car. Once inside, I was directed to a window where I gave the copies of new evidence I had brought as proof (conversation in Swedish). Then I had to wait for 1 hour until I was called up again to another window for the interview (in English). The interview took about 10 minutes (lady was very nice) and I had to take a pledge to tell the truth. The interviewer asked questions like how/when did I meet my wife, where/when did I propose, why do we want to move to the US, etc. Then I was told I was approved and would receive my papers/passport in 14 business days, but it arrived 2 days later!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
