Please i need info...extreme hardship, grant or deny?

hello everyone, im just new here on this site, i finally can post my questions....Me and my US fiance is almost 2 years in relationship just through the internet, cards, letter and phone calls..

He cant be here because he suffers fear of flying.. MY marriage was annuled in September but i just got my annulment decree,, but its just confusing that the heading written there is CERTIFICATE OF FINALITY? Is it the same document needed for visa? Hopefully he can send the I-129F this week...

And one of my never ending question....

Is anybody around here can share with me the changes of my case, extreme hardship due to fear of flying and he is 57 years old..?

Can he get on a boat to meet you? Or have a doctor prescribe him some drugs to knock him out on the plane?

Meeting is absolutely essential. I would bet that if you tried for a hardship, you'd be denied. Sorry.

Also, as someone who met her husband on the internet, it's also absolutely essential for your relationship to meet in person. Even if you spend 24 hours a day online or on the phone, being together in person is very very different.

You will not get a hardship waiver for that. You have to meet him in person and you will not get a tourist VISA to the US to meet him so he must go to you. Maybe he can take a cruise ship? He could probably get hypnosis treatment for his fear of flying. Anyway if he loves you he will find a way to get to you.

I hate to even mention this but I have heard this excuse, that they are afraid to fly, from guys when they can't commit to a woman.

If he really loves you, I also doubt his 'fear of flying' would keep him away. There are medications he could take if he's really that phobic. Sounds like a dodge to me.

Perhaps ask him to see an attorney and try to get a hardship exception. If he is not willing to do that, then I'd move on.

Waivers of the meeting requirement are not provided for people who are afraid to fly. They are rarely even provided for people with medical disabilities and true difficulties flying.

I see you're filing through VSC... does he live by the Canadian border? If so, could he drive or take a train to Canada, you fly to Canada, and you two meet in person there?

My fiancee is 62, has health problems and also scared of flying but he already visited me twice to prove me that he really loves me. It's very necessary that you two meet in person since you met him through internet. Maybe he should ask his doctor if there's a special medication he can take to relax him during flight? I don't think I will be able to stand not seeing my fiancee that long. It will drive me crazy for sure. :wacko:

Probably because it's very difficult to get a tourist visa to the U.S. from the Philippines.

Why don't you fly to visit him?

I don't think she is going to easily get a tourist visa to the US or Canada. I think the guy needs to put on his big-boy tighty whiteys, take some Valium, and get on the dayum plane.
