Regarding RFE :/

Hello,

I need someone to talk to because I am getting more worried and worried. We unfortunately have been asked for RFE since Oct 15th regarding my fiance criminal records. And he submitted documents required on Oct 31st. Ever since then, I have been checking USCIS case status online and it still shows "Request for Additional Evidence Notice was Mailed". Will this status stay like that until we get approval/deny? Do we expect for the status to change like "RFE received?" or we get some kind of notification via e-mail or text? It will be almost almooooooost 1 month waiting... but we still have not heard of any news yet. I hope our case has been touched and going well but I am so worried. I don't know how long this will take but should I be calling USCIS to check just in case? ><

Hi,

your status at UCSIS should change to RFE received. If it is not changed yet, then you better call them , just to ask if they have received it. The mail might be lost somewhere and your deadline goes off. so better check with them, prefer email, as you will have a record of this correspondence.

Can I call USCIS even if I am beneficiary? When I tried calling just now, instruction said that caller must be a petitioner or something then I had a doubt. :/ what is the email address I can send to for alternative way? I wish my fiancé could call but he is too busy at work lately. :/

I believe I read somewhere on here that they will only talk to the petitioner. But apparently it's best to call early in the morning or late in the day anyway so that might be worth a try?

I believe USCIS will only communicate with the petitioner; it's the NVC that will talk to both.
