Hey everyone

Can someone tell me after they submitted there ds260 new medical and photos after how long did they receive a call or email from embassy for fingerprints and oath?

Hey hi, when did you submit your ds260 and new medical to AMEX? Also did your case updated after you submitted the documents? How long have you been in AP? and is the applicant male or female?

Hi VJ, I want to know people who have experiences with this situation. Any one know how long does it take to receive a call from the Embassy to come in for fingerprints & oath after submitting updated medical, ds-260, and passport pics to Embassy? Do they email by any chance or is it always a phone call? Please share your experiences along with how long you were in AP. Thanks in advance

I wanted to know how does a person request their passport back from the embassy? My husband and I had a long discussion tonight and he asked me to get it back for him because he once again has made this whole AP experience a blow and insult to his ego and self-respect, he says he will give it back if they ask for it again but I dont see the point, hes not going to use it for travel purposes, then why is he making this once again about his self-respect, i dont understand the thinking of a man, I told him I would request it back only because hes asked for it, but Im not happy about it.

:(

I know I go to the embassy website and then the email form, what option do I chose for the subject?

Hi sarach,

Navigate to:

http://islamabad.usembassy.gov/contact-information/visa-inquiries.html

Select "I want to request my passport back for travel purposes" from the topic drop down (although if you are simply requesting it for the sake of keeping it with you then I suggest selecting "Other" as the topic). Enter all the other pertinent information on the page (passport number, case number, phone number, name, etc.), type up a message stating your request, Click Submit. This shoots off an email to the immigrant visa unit of the embassy with your request.

For others who might want to do the same that are under the non-immigrant visa processing, simply select non-immigrant visa inquiries from the left side navigation of the page. Instructions are the same as above. Clicking submit will shoot off an email to the non-immigrant visa unit.

Hope this helps. And if I anyone thinks my information is incorrect please feel free to correct me.

It. Can take a few business days, to get the visa, if this is the second time your going for fingerprints. From what i have seen here on visa journey, takes a week or so

Hi everyone! Can someone tell me once they had their fingerprint and oath in what time frame did they receive their visa? Was it approved on the spot? Or were you told it's approved and you will receive your visa in a certain time frame ?
