well

my husband had his second interview today, it went really bad , the CO's were really rude as usual to my husband, they are accusing him of not providing valid divorce papers, and to provide an "official" one, but we have already given that. Something that has an official stamp on it i guess, God knows what their looking for, I guess at this point we need a laywer but good side is they seem convinced our marriage is legit, no questions were asked regarding our marriage.

They had the nerve to throw and crumble up the divorce paper to the floor along with other paperwork we had provided them, unbeleivable!

so dissapointed over all, :(

That's so sad sister :( don't give up though! It will work out for sure :) im praying all the best for you that things get resolved soon.

Also, I'm a big advocate for getting congressman help. Have you tried contacting your representatives? They are usually more responsive/respectful to congressmen.

I already have one involved, but right now only a lawyer can help us sort this out. But yeah, the senator's office has been helpful in communication with the embassy.

Keep us in your prayers!

@sarahch aww I'm feeling sad for u .. Those people never understand the feelings and sentiments of ours .. I'm going through same stage .. My husband is living without me and our daughter and literally it's too hard to suffer with this visa process .. Sometimes I think I should withdraw this process that much frustrated I have been .. But everyday i think for the best to happen .. If they would have to leave their family and live like this they would have understand that .. Feeling less people

U don't worry everything will turn out to b over sooner for u inshallah

They test our marriages and our love for our spouses .. But I know our love will fight with them and they will issue Us visa someday for sure .. They ca play with our emotions but we have to be strong coz we love our spouses and we will stay with them no matter what circumstances happens .. Let's defeat them and I'm sure everyone here will get visa sooner or later and that will be our victory so cheer up its our test from ALLAH

Insha Allah but its taking a toll on our health, my husband is like they treat us like criminals.

What feelings? They dont know what feelings r , or family or marriage. They can do all the investigation they want but they should have a time frame to do so.

So sorry sis :( ... They will never understand how we all feel, they don't even care... This is why they have so much backlogs because they love to keep people in AP for complete nonsense. Don't give up! Keep fighting, they will issue your hubby's visa sooner or later!

We provided one from the union council one , even if we had given them NADRA one they still would want a union council one.

I love my husband very much, i think even more now then ever because of all this time apart.

I think these are all excuses, they just trying to test how solid our marrige is.

They test our marriages and our love for our spouses .. But I know our love will fight with them and they will issue Us visa someday for sure .. So I wrote a letter on the White House page comments, I am sharing what I wrote here because I think it expresses the sentiments and frustrations that everyone is going through on visa journey. I will copy and paste it here.

Hello, My name is Sarah and I am a U.S. citizen born and raised in this country. I got married almost two years ago in Pakistan and have been struggling to get my husband to the U.S. since 2013.

My husband has already had his interview at the embassy last year in Islamabad U.S. embassy.and another interview this week.

I am desperate and physically and mentally ill at this point because the U.S.embassy has been giving us the most difficult time ever, they display extremely rude behavior to the applicants there and show no courtesy or respect to people who are trying to lawfully immigrate to the U.S. what kind of reflection does this show on part of the United States to foreigners coming for the first time to the land of freedom, where people do not discriminate, and citizens in the United States are free to live and let live.

The embassy is continuously trying to give us a hard time, by asking for requirements we keep providing them and they ask us for more and more when we have given them everything we are suppose to obtain a visa.

I have been separated from my husband for two years, how am I suppose to live my life and start my family when the U.S. embassy fails to do their duty in a timely manner, they take forever to review anything you send them

is there anyone keeping an eye on them and their work? I feel that my husband and I are being repeatedly discriminated against, just because he comes from a country where there is a lot of problems but that should not reflect or impact our marriage.

We are law abiding citizens who are struggling in this country and immigration process has only added agony and frustration.

I wrote this, i dont know how much it help but atleast I know somewhere this will be read. We should at least raise our voices for our loved ones.

Asalam o Alaikum,

My name is Umar Lateef. I am a silent reader of this group,

I've been reading since start of 2014 because I was going through the visa process and was afraid to stuck in to AP but alhamdulillah passed through but I am not here to show off or to make you feel bad. I am just here to encourage you. This is just a try, if it's not helping, I am sorry.

So I've been reading here almost everyday to see whats happening here. Believe you me I feel a strong attachment with all you guys. Sarfaraz, Ayesha, Sarah, Kaleem and all others. I am here to see if anyone got their visa today. And then I pray for you guys that Allah make it easier for all you. Being a Muslim and Pakistani there is a certain attachment between us. I know it's a bitter truth but being a Muslim, one should strongly believe that if it's not happening now, it's not a good time for this. I've been through this process and it's very intense. But keep the hope up. Once it's over, you'll not even remember how difficult it was. Another suggestion is to pray 2,4 or any number of nawafil everyday for all your hard times. I will suggest it to do it everyday even if your problems are solved. I think it helped me, and inshaAllah it will help you.

So cheer up. Have faith that it's going to be over one day. And keep talking to your spouse and keep their hope up as well. InshaAllah soon you guys will be with your family.

And Sarah, your letter is beautiful. I am sure it will help you inshaAllah.

Happy Ramadan

Allah Hafiz.
