I received my notice from the NVC with our case number on Oct 28 indicating that our case was sent to the US Embassy in Manila. The CEAC website indicates that our case is "Ready". Does anyone know how long long it takes to receive packet 3? Are we able to schedule an the medical and interview without receing the notice? Is there a number to the US embassy that we can call to check status?

It takes ∞ amount of time to receive your letter from USEM. Seriously though, that letter hardly ever arrives if ever. My wife never received it and she's been in the US now for 4 months.

Do not wait for the letter from USEM, you do not need it. Since you have your case number, you can go ahead and pay your visa fee and schedule your interview.

Thank you for the prompt response. What information/documentation is needed for the interview? I just want to ensure we don't miss anything

Everything you need is listed in the embassy instructions here: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/15OCT/K1%20and%20K2%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_updated%2015%20OCT%202014_.pdf

On my!!! Don't sit around waiting for a letter from USEM... they rarely arrive! There is no PACKET 3, everything is online.

If you have your MNL # then it is ROCK n ROLL time!!!

Follow the flashing arrow below for details on the process in Manila.

Time to beat feet!! :)

My wife has been here in New York with me since June, and to date has not received any Packet 3 or Embasssy letter or whatever else you want to call it. You simply do not need it.

All you need is the MNL number, and the letter from NVC will have it. You can take the MNL number to any Bank of Philippine Islands branch in Phil, pay the interview fee, and now with both the MNL number and receipt number, go on the USEM website and sign up for the interview.

Are you asking about paying the visa fee at BPI? Don't need the NVC letter for that. You need to print out a deposit slip, bring that your passport and Pesos to BPI. Details in my link below, follow the flashing arrow.
