I'm sorry, but I'm trying to find information on how long we can expect to wait between the time when we file the IV application and the affidavit of support with the NVC and an interview in Chile. I tried using the timeline section, but either I'm confused or this information isn't available. The NVC website says that it will take 60 days to process the DS-260 (IV application). Is this a minimum, maximum, or estimate? How long between when they finish processing and the interview date? If this information is available in the timeline section can someone point me to it?

usually the NVC says it could take up to 60 days to answer as when to expect a reply from the embassy about interview date. but at the end it all depends on the embassy schedule and how busy they are. some embassies take a shorter time to interview after receiving the file from NVC that because the are in countries that do not process a lot of immigrant visas (like Iceland) and some others take forever due to pressure of applicants (like Ecuador)

keep in mind that holiday season is approaching and that may affect the timing be a few days.

good luck

With some embassies you have to wait 6 or 8 months to get an interview and others book them quite quickly. I would check the interview thread and see what the stats are for Chile.
