Hi and hello, The requests wanted in Packet 3 are "Embassy Specific", but I see requests are similiar. My packet 3 last month asked for the confirmation page of the on line form DS-160, Original I-134, and a copy of optional form 169 for K-1 which was the packet 3 notification. England may have some differences. Good luck, Hopefully a new UK K-1 approval will give you better country specific information.

What info do they ask for in Packet 3?? We should be getting it in the mail anyday and I want to have everything ready!

Here is a London specific guide http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/

It starts with a list of things to do as soon as you get NOA2, then takes you through the whole process including all about "Packet 3".

Note: Sorry about a messed up link you'll find for the required document list in Post 1. Use this http://london.usembassy.gov/application_documents.html

Hey I just saw that the consulate has your case, and wanted to congratulate you.

Congrats

Thanks so much! Really hope things move along quickly because I have been hoping to have him here by NYE!

Will London want a marriage certificate from his first marriage or just the divorce decree? Seems a little silly to have to provide a marriage certificate if divorced 18 years ago!

I know all the many versions of their website since 2008 and it has always said that. However in all that time, I have never known any K1 to post in the UK forum they had to show the marriage certificate of a marriage that ended in divorce. That includes my husband. I feel confident that you will only need the divorce decree.

Some of the things on their website get a little odd. It's like they change things but don't read the whole page...just add a sentence or something. Recently the K1 instruction page changed. For the longest it had Step One, Step Two, Step Three. They reorganized and added a Step Four paragraph. Yet their opening remained "follow the THREE steps below". I emailed the webmaster pointing that out like I have done before. I never get a response but I did notice they fixed that and the links in Step 3 and 4 that I pointed out were broken. The fourth step is nothing new. It just put the Readiness form info in the main text instead of a right column, I suppose to make it available to mobile app versions.

Thanks again for all of your help! We have medical scheduled for 11/24, completed DS160, submitted readiness form, and fiancee has I134, police certificate, immunizations, copies of divorce/NOA2/birth certificate.....hopefully we can get him here by 12/31! It might be a long shot but I have my fingers crossed!
