I'm not trying to rush them, just trying to put a request in. They can view my case just fine, just like I can online. The technical difficulties they're supposedly having is with just placing requests, but yet others on this site that called I the same days I did, had no issues placing one. So in all reality I will not chill out or relax, seeing as nothing seems to be said the same to everyone else as it is to me.

So I want to update you as promised, figured I would do it in this thread you started :) I just called 4 times back to back. Representative #1 straight up said the are having technical difficulties, she cannot help me. #2: Wait till 90 days, you will receive your card on 90 days (just another way of saying I don't want to help you right now). 90 days for me is Sunday, so no I'm not waiting until Monday. #3: We got disconnected. #4: FINALLY! She helped me, no questions asked.

You should try to call again today. I also had no waiting times like yesterday, got straight through every time. I completely understand your frustration. I actually asked the one representative if she could check the status of my I485 since I am unable to do so online. She was also not able to and said it's due to the upgrade (I laugh each time I say upgrade cause at this point it really doesn't feel like one).

Please let me know if it worked for you!

Thanks for letting me know! When I get home, he'll have about an hour left to call so I'll have him try it since it finally worked for you! Fingers crossed. I just want to have like a back up of a service request, you know? Thanks again!! :)

he got the technical difficulties thing again, and was told to just wait until next week.... ridiculous since it's been a week already! so he called again, and the guy hung up on him.... then called again right before they closed and the machine cut him off too :/

:wow: I am so sorry that he was yet again not able to get it done! It's just unacceptable that some of them would not even try (like the first lady who told me she cannot do it due to technical difficulties and then half an hour later another more helpful one tried and was successful). It sucks that now you guys have to wait until Monday. Well, if we want to try and find the bright side...think about next year this time (or even in 6 months) this process will be over and we will just roll our eyes at everything we had to go through. Right now it is frustrating though. Post here on Monday if your husband were able to create the request!

So he called once more when they were closing, and finally got one requested! Thank you for your help :)

Oh no!! I'm sorry :( I really hope you hear something today! Have you contacted your congressman? They can help once it's past 90 days :) and nope, nothing on our side either. Were at 86 days, so we'll see :/

I have not contacted him yet, no. That's probably a good idea. I will wait this week and see if anything comes from the service request, then I guess I'll contact him. I've never thought that I would be the one waiting, you know? I thought everything about both my EAD and AOS were pretty straight forward. And now there are these technical difficulties and the upcoming holidays added on top of this already grueling waiting game. Sorry, that was my rant for the day :D

Keep me updated with what's happening with your service request!

So about that service request: I did not even realize it shows up in your case status! I just scrolled down a little more when checking my case status for my I-765, and this is what it says: As of November 14, 2014, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number TxxxxxxxxMSC, is currently not assigned for processing. WHAT? The INQUIRY not assigned for processing?! So is that just going to sit there too for months?! I am fuming! :ranting::help::angry:

I just checked and ours says the same thing!!!! This is ridiculous. I'm so irritated :/

And sorry I never replied to your previous post! I completely forgot. But contact your congressman because they can help at 90 days, and usually get movement. We contacted ours already and the girl in charge helped with his K-1, so once it's 90 days she's gonna call for us!

Oh, no problem! I'm going to look up my congressman's information right now. This is just too much--not only does our cases get put aside (or it feels like it anyways), but also the service requests! I truly hope that their terminology is just a little weird, that "the inquiry is not currently assigned for processing" just means that someone hasn't "accepted" to look at it yet (almost like opening an email). Of course that's just something I tell myself to try to calm down a bit. I'm trying not to be in a bad mood!

We just got approved! Oddly enough I didn't receive the texts, but only emails.... But I decided to check my email and found that! I hope you've heard back too!
